High speed career making and a unique opportunity to re-invent Retail

The Retail Banking Leadership Programme is all about becoming one of our future leaders in the Retail field, managing and expanding the new bank. In order to reach your goals quickly, we facilitate personal and professional growth in three steps:

First you need to find out what field suits you best. During an orientation phase of 12 to 18 months you work on two to three challenging, high impact projects. One of them might be abroad. You bring your talent and strengths to light and learn what skills you might need to improve further.

One of the projects in this phase could be to explore the opportunities for ING Retail in an emerging market. Furthermore you work on strategic advice on how to develop this specific area for ING.

In the next phase of around 2 years you start your first position. Situated in the Netherlands, you gain more experience in your field of choice. Depending on your abilities and interests, you become product manager, formula manager, team leader or project manager.

One of the challenging assignments you come across in this phase of the programme could be managing the introduction of a new product range. You start with a business plan and subsequently make it happen in the market.

Once more skilled, you enter the third phase. This is the time to leave a larger footprint within Retail. Through a second position with increased responsibility you will develop yourself for another two years. Your placement will be in The Netherlands or abroad and will concern Marketing or Change Management for instance.

Your mission as a Senior Marketer could be finding a cost-efficient, time saving and innovative solution to a demand in the market. For our SME clients the PIN-package is such a solution; a simple all-in-one package which is beneficial for both ING and our clients.
